Goitre is a condition of abnormal swelling of the thyroid gland. It may cause due to hypothyroidism. A lack of thyroid hormones can cause the gland to swell up. Also, iodine deficiency is the main reason for goitre. Proper iodine intake can help to maintain good thyroid hormones. Goitre can easily be treated with proper medication, yet there are some simple effective natural treatments to reduce goitre size. For some people, this type of swelling may not be painful but it may cause discomfort and difficult to swallow something. It may cause you difficulty with proper breathing also.

Consuming garlic on daily basis can protect you from the common cold, controls blood pressure, and reduce heart disease. It helps to stimulate the production of glutathione in the body. You can use garlic to cure goitre. Peel them off and crush them. Take one teaspoon of honey. Mix it well. Consume every morning. 


Turmeric has many health benefits. This golden spice is used globally for cooking, medicines and skincare products. It is known for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties. This golden spice is used in many home remedies to prevent diseases like cancer, and heart disease, reduce joint pain, treat skin, stomach upset, weight loss, etc. When it comes to treating goitre, turmeric plays an important role to reduce swelling in the thyroid gland.
