Home Remedies for Abdominal Bloating
There are some home remedies that can help to get rid of gas and bloating easily at home with kitchen spices.
Apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar soothes your stomach and keeps you relieved from gas and bloating. Take one glass of lukewarm water, and add two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to it. Drink on empty stomach in the morning.
As we all know that ginger is an amazing herb with many health benefits. It can also be used as an effective home remedy for indigestion and gas relief. Take a glass of lukewarm water and add one tablespoon of ginger juice. Mix it well. Sip it slowly. You will notice the result after some time or you can chew a piece of ginger for proper digestion or you can make ginger tea adding a bit of honey into it(optional).
Just like this, there are more spices that you can make use of to get relief like cumin seeds, ajwain seeds, black pepper, etc. You can consume buttermilk to soothe your stomach.
Avoid sugar alcohols
Chewing gums, mints, and having desserts often use sugar alcohols like sorbitol to give sweet flavor with minimum calories which affects some people and makes them face digestive issues because our body doesn’t produce properly required enzymes to digest sugar alcohols. That’s why some people face bloating and gas issues.

It has anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties like curcumin which helps in relieving gastrointestinal issues. You can take turmeric tea or turmeric pills once a day.
Chamomile tea contains essential oils which are helpful for our digestive system. This tea helps you in relaxing your stomach bloating and heaviness immediately after consumption.
Asafoetida or Heeng
These have antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties which can help you in proper digestion and problems like irresistible bowel, syndrome, flatulence, and intestinal gas. It helps with constipation also. To use this herb, dissolve a little bit of asafoetida with half a teaspoon of lukewarm water and drink this mixture for quick relief.
Sodium bicarbonate is an antacid that helps to stop bloating and protects the intestine. Take a teaspoon of baking soda with a glass of lukewarm water and add one tablespoon of lemon juice to it. Mix it well and have it after your meal. Have this mixture twice daily to relieve gas and bloating.
Fennel seeds contain estrogen which plays a vital role in digestion. People generally love to take fennel tea after a meal for proper digestion. Simply boil some water, and add some fennel seeds. Bring the boil for 2 mins at least. Strain it and have it. You can add a little bit of honey for taste. Drinking fennel tea two times a day can give you relief from bloating and also helps in the abdomen shrinking.
Triphala has anti-inflammatory properties which act as a cleanser and rejuvenate gastric disorders. This herb is a mixture of three herbs like – harad, beheda, and amla. Take half a teaspoon of Triphala powder. Boil the water and mix the powder. Keep it aside for 5 minutes. Drink this water during bedtime. You will light in the morning as the drink removes bad toxins from the body and soothes your stomach while resting at night.
