Baby’s skin is 10 times much sensitive than grown-ups. It requires a special care and concern to stay bouncy and soft. Today we will be telling you some of the natural ways of improving baby’s skin complexion. 

As soon as the baby is born, it loses some moisture which was preserving it in mother’s womb. Now in the outer atmosphere, it needs a special care to lock the skin moisture.

What people do for baby skin care?

9 out of 10 prefer for top to toe body washes, baby soaps, shampoo, baby cream and so on. Although, the branded ones has no such side effects; but obivously they are made up of chemicals and not natural!

There are many factors behind the dullness and fade complexion of the baby. We are not talking about the fair or black colours; we are talking about the skin health, its suppleness, and fluffiness.

  • Diet and lifestyle of the mother

  • Hydration
  • Skin care regimen and many more. 

Let us move to our concerned topic, which is how to restore natural moisture and keep the baby’s complexion healthy in a natural way.

Natural ways to keep your baby’s skin healthy:

There are various steps required which has its own benefits and importance. Those are given as follows.

1. Ubtan or Body pack for babies:

Since from generations, ubtan made of certain flours and other ingredients are used to increase the fairness of the body. It has many other benefits like to treat skin disorders and keep your skin clear.

How to prepare Bodypack for babies?

You will need a few ingredients like-

  • Saffron- 3-4 strands
  • Raw turmeric powder- 2 teaspoon
  • Sandalwood powder- 2 teaspoon
  • Cream or malai- 1 tablespoon

Mix all these in a bowl and apply on the overall body except the head of the baby. Give it a little massage so that the ingredients penetrate inside.

Leave it for 10-15 minutes. Then make the baby bath with lukewarm water. Using it for twice a week will give you outstanding results.

2. Moisturization and Oil massage:

Oil massage is not just to strengthen the bones and muscles of the baby, but also helps to maintain skin health. It moisturizes the skin, in a natural way. Now, we should keep in mind to use the correct oil for your baby.

If the weather is hot, then go for coconut oil or sesame oil. If it is cold, then mustard oil or castor oil will be better. You should also use the oil as per the temperature of your area.

If your baby’s skin is fade and you want it to glow like anything. Then here is the remedy for you.

Skin brightening oil for babies-

  • Take a cup of coconut oil or sesame oil and 3-4 big and fresh red, dark pink roses.
  • Take all the petals into the oil and cook in a medium flame so that the rose petals turns golden.
  • Turn off the flame and let the oil cool.
  • Strain it and store in a glass bottle. Massage with this oil to the baby twice a day, it will give brilliant results.

3. Diet and Hydration of the baby:

This step is valid for all, whether a baby or an adult. ‘You are what you eat and fee from inside!’ If your baby is below 6 months and on breastfeeding, then the mother is liable to correct her diet and lifestyle. And if the baby is having solids, then you need to care  for him.

Give him an adequate amount of water in intervals. Seasonal fruits, lentils, full-fat milk etc must be included in the baby’s diet. He/she should also be allowed for playing outdoors, going out in nature and physical activities.

Do not use mosquito repellents, sunscreens etc skin thing on the tender skin.

Following all these steps will give you fabulous results and all in a  natural way. Always remember, these small angels are not meant to be practiced with chemical made things.
