Natural Treatment for endometriosis
1. HERBAL REMEDIES
Shallaki (Boswellia serrata)
Use of this herb is very effective to treat endometriosis. This herb possesses the anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor and anti-carcinogenic properties. In the Ayurveda, use of this herb is very famous to reduce the pain since ages. Hence the use of this herb very useful to reduce the pain in endometriosis.
Haridra (Curcumin longa)
This herb is commonly called as the haldi and turmeric. Curcumin, a bioactive compound present in this herb is loaded with anti-inflammatory properties. Hence the use of this herb is quite useful in alleviating the lower abdomen pain, lower back pain and pelvic pain.
Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis)
This herb is known by the name of Ghrit kumari in Ayurveda. Being a rich source of vitamins like A, B-complex vitamins, C, E and folic acid, this herb offers the good female health. Use of this herb is very useful in alleviating the various problems during the menstruation like irregular menses, premenstrual tension and pain in pelvic region etc. This herb contains the phytochemical compounds like flavonoids, saponins and glycosides. For the treatment of endometriosis, dried bark of this tree is quite useful in relieving the problems like menorrhagia and excessive uterine bleeding etc. On the other hand, bark of this herb acts as cooling agent and demulcent which helps to provide the relief in the problems like painful periods, inflamed lymph nodes, heavy clots and amenorrhea.
Lodhra (Symplocos racemosa)
Use of this herb is quite good to resolve the various female health issues. This is known to be a quite good herb in the treatment of endometriosis. It helps in the reduction of pain in pelvic area, lower abdomen and back pain. It helps to provide relief in other symptoms like nausea, vomiting and weakness.
Shatavari (Asparagus recemosus)
It is also one more important herb in Ayurveda to cure the endometriosis. It contains the Isoflavones, Asparagamine, Polysaccharides, mucilage and rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, C, E, Phosphorus, Calcium, Iron and folic acid.Hence, use of this herb is quite good to resolve the various gynecological problems in females. 2. HOME REMEDIES
Flax seeds
Flaxseeds are considered as an effective natural treatment for endometriosis. Flaxseeds contain the antioxidants and omega-3 fatty acids which are very effective to slow down the growth of abnormal endometrial tissue.
How to use
- Take the 3 to 4 tablespoons of flaxseeds and soak in one cup of water for whole night. Next morning, strain and drink the water.
- Do it on a regular basis until your symptoms get subside.
Pelvic Massage
Massage of the lower abdomen and pelvic area with an essential oil like lavender or sandalwood also helps to relieve the pains in endometriosis.
Note: Do not do it during your menstrual cycle.
Hot water bath
Hot water bath therapy is an effective home remedy for managing the symptoms of endometriosis. Taking the hot water bath helps in muscles relaxation.
3. DIET REMEDIES
Things to be taken
- Consume the vegetables like lentils, broccoli, cabbage, Brussels, sprouts sweet potatoes, beans, cauliflower, potatoes, beat, garlic, onion, artichokes, carrot, spinach, kale, lettuce, peas, turnips, pumpkin and spinach.
- Consume the fruits like prunes, papaya, pineapple, banana, avocado, cherries, strawberries, figs, apples, mango, Brazil nuts, pear, pomegranate, oranges, grapefruit, kiwi and apricot.

4. Yoga and exercise
Like above mentioned herbal remedies, home remedies and diet tips, it is important to do yoga and exercise. These techniques are quite helpful in alleviating the symptoms of endometriosis. Breathing exercises in yoga are very effective in reducing the pain to a greater extent as deep exhalation promotes relaxation in body.
