Asthma, a common respiratory disorder, can occur in both children as well as adults. The disease is characterized by episodic constriction and inflammation of the bronchial tubes and can be acute as well as chronic type.

Allergies, air pollution, cold air, respiratory infections, stress, strong emotions and physical activities are some of the common triggers of asthma.
