There are multiple reasons as to why certain people get Kidney disease which eventually progresses to kidney failure. Genetic predisposition, dietary and lifestyle mismanagement are just a few common culprits behind this grave condition.
There are numerous methods used today to control kidney failure in patients at various stages of the disease such as peritoneal dialysis, Hemo dialysis and Kidney transplant. Though these are the most common treatment protocols followed by doctors all over the world, as followers and believers of Ayurveda, we do have certain home remedies which can support Kidney failure patients at home and help them maintain their deteriorating health in a very inexpensive and non – invasive way.
Let us have a look at some of the common home remedies for Kidney Failure patients
1. IMPROVING WATER INTAKE:
This applies to people mostly in the early stages of the disease (not for dialysis patients who have fluid restrictions). We often ignore the importance of drinking water in relation to our health. There fore, try drinking at least 1.5 to 2 litres of water daily.
2. SODIUM BICARBONATE:
Our body works at a close to alkaline pH. Therefore, an increase in acidic levels in our body can result in severe dysfunction. Try taking one teaspoon of soda bicarb at night before you go to bed. It can be very beneficial for keeping the overall body healthy and disease free. It can also help prevent urinary tract infections that affect Kidney patients very commonly.
Garlic is one of the most important vegetables with great therapeutic value. A few cloves of Garlic can be taken daily by Kidney patients to prevent any gastro – intestinal symptoms and improve immunity.
