3. Jatamansi (Nordostachys jatamansi):

This plant is also called as spikenard, nard, nardin, and muskroot, and it has pink bell shaped flowers. The plant helps in managing all the three doshas in terms of Ayurveda, especially kapha and pitta. The word Jatamansi is derived from two words jata and mansi.

Jata means dread locks and manasi means human from the term manas, as well as mind, a derivative of the word manas. The roots of this plant has a look similar to dread locks. 4. Brahmi (Baccopa monneri):
