Pellegrini stieda syndrome is a medical problem which is characterized by pain, swelling and inflammation in the knee. This occurs due to the deposition of calcium on the inner side of the knee. This deposition occurs at the site where medial collateral ligament and the femur (thigh bone) is connected. This joint problem occurs usually in the person who have a medial collateral ligament injury. A person suffering from this kind of condition will have difficulty in making knee movements such as bending, twisting and straightening of the knee.
