The kidneys are two bean-shaped organs, each about the size of a fist. They are located just below the rib cage, one on each side of the spine. Every day, the two kidneys filter about 120 to 150 quarts of blood to produce about 1 to 2 quarts of urine, composed of wastes and extra fluid.  These are maroon red in colour and looks like a big kidney bean. What are called Kidney diseases?

Our body organs are like machines; they are abide to work properly only if they are fit and fine. Like every machine and devices, there is a great need to preserve them and make them rest. As we human beings need ample rest, so our body cells gets recharged and active; similarly if you don;t care your body then in the references the organs gets disturbed and develops diseases. In Kidneys, when those refined wastes starts getting deposited and if the person still remains unknown. The sickness lowly gets major and can be even fatal.

In most of the severe cases, the nephrologist suggests for dialysis and afterwards for kidney transplant.

Dialysis is also known as ‘Artificial kidney’ which is carried out to diffuse out nitrogenous wasted from your body. It is a machinery process, in which the catheter cum needle is inserted on your wrist and the process is carried out.

Facts about Dialysis and Transplant:-

Dialysis process keeps your body free from wastes but slowly damages the nephrons which are functional units of kidneys. Dialysis is good for none; one who steps into it become habituated and the dialysis process becomes the only lifeline! For each dialysis, it costs around 1300-2000 rupees and the doctors suggests to go for it twice to thrice a week which means; 6000 rupees a week. This huge sum of money is not affordable by everyone. It addition, it even gives you a lots of pain and problems.

Dialysis is not a permanent thing. The doctor prescribes you for this as an optional time till transplant is carried out. In the Kidney transplant, a donor kidney is required which must match your RH factor and blood group. It is then stitched to your lower ureter which keeps you alive. The surgical process goes for a long time and is highly expensive. Even after getting operated, the person is not able to live a normal life as earlier. Huge packs of medicines, complications in food, living style etc all are hampered.
