On our last post of Halitosis, we described ayurvedic methods to get rid of mouth odour. Now we will be telling you some of the easy ways which you can include in your daily lifestyle.

A smiling face is like the mirror reflection of yours personality. Everyone wills to have an attractive face and healthy properties. For an attractive personality, both our physical and mental wellness is necessary.

Talking about physical wellness, we all firstly refer to our talking expressions and our hygiene concern. But, when it comes about our facial features; oral health ranks the first. Your overall personality is attractive and smart, but if you have problem associated with mouth odour or bad breath, you will be denied and avoided.

No one appreciates stinky oral health. This factor sounds very small and easy, but this factor itself has the potential to spoil all yours smartness.

What is Bad breath or Mouth odour?

Bad breath; medically termed as “Halitosis” is the evergreen problem since from centuries. Bad breath or mouth odour is unpredictable and unpleasant. It doesn’t matters how much beautiful, attractive, smart or stylish you are; one spoiling factor will make all yours features fade.

Since from ancient times, our ancestors have been suffering from mouth odour and always tried to discover some eligible and successful method to uproot this oral problem from mankind. They used many things; using cinnamon, cloves etc for mouthwash; rinsing with white wine; using raw mint and so on.

Definitely their methods were successful but temporarily. Our modern science also used those tactics in a modern and formulated way. They go through surveys and experiments.

And by all these, they concluded oral hygiene is not enough to cure halitosis; there can be some internal defects too that can lead this.

  1. Brush your teeth twice a day-

    We all know very well, brighter shinier teeth contributes to healthy oral cavity. While ingestion, our teeth is responsible for chewing food. It is very common while chewing, some tiny food crumbs sticks to our tooth and if they are not cleaned or brushed, it results in bad breath.

    The food crumbs gets spoiled and also harms our gums. So it is advisable to brush your teeth twice daily, once after waking up and secondly before going to bed. Use a tongue cleaner after brushing.

    It is a fact that 80% of germs reside on your tongue surface. If they are not clean, they can lead to mouth odour and its long term carelessness can also lead to tongue related hazardous ailments.

    It is also noticed, some guys suffers from mouth odour because of sensitivity in teeth and gums. For this, they can use some mild toothpaste or can even use natural herbs like neem, eucalyptus, mint, clove etc.

    Floss means to clean between your teeth using a thread. Flossing is very necessary for your teeth. These removes the entire residue trapped between teeth. It makes you feel fresh and free from oral germs.

  3. Avoid tobacco, cigarettes and alcohol-

    The addiction of these things also contributes to halitosis. Excessive use depletes your taste buds and makes your mouth stinky. When someone is habituated of these addictions, their salivary glands get blocked and mouth turns chapped and rough.

    We know very well, saliva is responsible to keep your oral cavity moisturized and free from pathogens. It also contains enzymes that aids in digestion. When there is lack of saliva, it becomes the appropriate atmosphere for bacterial growth.

    That automatically leads to halitosis. If you are extensively addicted of these, then you should minimize it.

  4. Take care of your health-

    It is a fact that, halitosis occur those who is malnutrition and weak. The reason is, there body and metabolism is not capable to resist pathogens. Their immunity level is too low to help them. Because of this when bad breathing takes place our body tends to be weak.

  5. Use herbal methods-

    In ayurvedic science, there is a cure give for all kinds of ailments. Halitosis is not a big deal to be solved. As we know, early diagnosis of disease leads to easy and fast treatment; late one can be difficult or can’t be treated.

    Similarly, if you want to be prevented from halitosis you need to be concerned regularly. Use lemon and salt for gargle and teeth scrubbing.

    In markets many kinds of refreshing mouthwashes are available, you can also use those. Use mint, cloves and cinnamon; boil them in water and after it cool down, use it as a gargle liquid. It will help a lot.

  6. Drink water and eat healthy food-

    As we know, water detoxifies our body and keeps us fresh. Similarly, drinking right amount of water cleans your mouth and keeps it moisturized. Healthy foods like fruits, vegetables, nuts, fish, cereals all aids in halitosis. These things keeps you healthy thus avoids bad breathing.

It is not thing to be worried, many of us suffers from halitosis. It is not a big deal. The best thing we can do is to be concerned about our oral health. Visit to a dentist in every 6 months.

It is commonly seen; almost all of us care our body, face and hairs but ignores our oral cavity. This is not a good thing. We should be concerned about our mouth too.

A wholesome developed personality is said to be fit from head to toe. Both internal and external health is necessary. So guys, be healthy and be happy.
